Heavy Metal in Iran =================== Watching the media in the West, you'd think that Iran is nothing but scimitar-swinging, foaming at the mouth, Islamic fundamentalists Jihadis. "Can't let them have nukes! - No no NOOOO!" Hmmmm... Americans are good, honest, hard-working Christian folk, who always want to do the right thing. Turns out, I reckon, that Americans have been duped into fighting against people who are NOT really their enemies, time and time again, throughout the 20th and 21st (so far) centuries. Why is that? Maybe hard for some to swallow, but do some research of your own. Iran is 70%+ young people, who do not care much about religion one way or another. Most of them LIKE the West, western culture, western people. Thew want to be - "western". The "religious fundamentalists" are mainly old fogies, living out their last years - survivors of the brutal war with Iraq (that Iraq started with US encouragement). Anyway, see for yourself. Get past the propaganda machinery. If you want to get straight to the head-bangolicious music, skip the first video, which is an interview with actual Iranians (not the ones you see on TV). If you don't care for metal, do watch that first video, if nothing else. Why has the truth been hidden from us? Why, indeed. Find out who controls most of western media, figure out who benefits from a US war with Iran (or Iraq or Syria or...), and you'll have your answer.
